Indian-American vocalist Raveena blew us away earlier this year with ‘Spell’ – a delicate soul ballad produced by Everett Orr. Her new track ‘If Only’ is another collaboration with Orr and is another sultry and seductive R&B/pop crossover. The orchestration takes from D’Angelo and Sade, both inspirations of Raveena’s, and is rich with guitar, washy synths and laidback drums. All these elements allow her vocal to come to the forefront, which is mature, sincere and smooth as butter. ‘If Only’ is taken from the Shanti EP which is due out on December 6^th. -HM
